171. O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but the truth. The Messiah ‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah and His Word, ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh )[46] created by Him; so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One Ilâh (Deity), glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.[47]

How to read the results

Trust, revelation and glorification require evidence linking the name to the act itself, not just words appearing in the same verse. Compound names remain complete. “No” means no classified evidence is available in the current approved data; it does not assert absence from the Quran. Occurrence counts follow the site’s approved evidence. For compound names, roots of their parts are shown. Each other name is counted once, even when it shares several roots; the current name is excluded.

Translation notes
[46] (V.4:171) Rûh-ullâh: According to the early religious scholars from among the Companions of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and their students and the Mujtahidûn , there is a rule to distinguish between the two nouns in the genitive construction: a) When one of the two nouns is Allah, and the other is a person or a thing, e.g. Allah’s House (Bait-ullâh); Allah’s Messenger (Rasul-ullâh): Allah’s slave (‘Abdullâh): Allah’s spirit (Rûh-ullâh), the rule for the above words is that the second noun, e.g., house, messenger, slave, spirit is created by Allah and is honourable in His Sight, and similarly, Allah’s spirit may be understood as the spirit of Allah, in fact it is a soul created by Allah, i.e. ‘Îsâ (Jesus). And it was His Word: "Be!" -and he was.[i.e. ‘Îsâ (Jesus) was created like Adam]. b) But when one of the two is Allah and the second is neither a person nor a thing, then it is not a created thing but is a quality of Allah e.g. Allah’s Knowledge (‘Ilm-ullâh); Allah’s Life (Hayât-ullâh); Allah’s Statement (Kalâm-ullâh); Allah’s Self (Dhat-ullâh). [47] (V.4:171) Narrated ‘Ubadah رضي الله عنه : The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "If anyone testifies that lâ ilâha illallâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone) Who has no partners, and that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is His slave and His Messenger, and that Jesus عليه السلام is Allah’s slave and His Messenger and His Word ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Mary and a spirit (Rûh) created by Him, and that Paradise is the truth, and Hell is the truth - Allah will admit him into Paradise with the deeds which he had done even if those deeds were few." (Junadah, the subnarrator said; "Ubâdah added: ‘Such a person can enter Paradise through any of its eight gates he likes.’ ") (Sahih Al Bukhârî, Vol. 4, Hadîth No. 644).

73. Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no Ilâh (deity) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilâh (Deity -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall on the disbelievers among them.

19. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "What thing is the most great in witness?" Say: "Allah (the Most Great!) is Witness between me and you; this Qur’ân has been revealed to me that I may therewith warn you and whomsoever it may reach. Can you verily bear witness that besides Allah there are other âlihah (deities)?" Say "I bear no (such) witness!" Say: "But in truth He (Allah) is the only one Ilâh (Deity). And truly I am innocent of what you join in worship with Him."

52. This (Qur’an) is a Message for mankind (and a clear proof against them), in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is the only One Ilâh (Deity - Allah) - (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) - and that men of understanding may take heed.

22. Your Ilâh (Deity) is One Ilâh (Deity - Allah, none has the right to be worshipped but He). But for those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts deny (the faith in the Oneness of Allah), and they are proud.

51. And Allah said (O mankind!): "Take not ilâhain (two deities in worship). Verily, He (Allah) is (the) only One Ilâh[15] (Deity). Then, fear Me (Allah جل جلاله) much [and Me (Alone), i.e. be away from all kinds of sins and evil deeds that Allah has forbidden and do all that Allah has ordained and worship none but Allah][16].

Translation notes
[15] (V.16:51) Ilâh: He Who has all the right to be worshipped. [16] (V.16:51) Narrated ‘Ubâdah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "If anyone testifies that Lâ ilâha illallâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone) Who has no partners, and that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is His slave and His Messenger, and that ‘Îsâ (Jesus) عليه السلام is Allah’s slave and His Messenger and His Word ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rûh ) created by Him, and that Paradise is the truth, and Hell is the truth, Allah will admit him into Paradise with the deeds which he had done even if those deeds were few." (Junadah, the subnarrator said, " ‘Ubâdah added, ‘Such a person can enter Paradise through any of its eight gates he likes.’ ") (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 4, Hadith No. 644).

110. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your Ilâh (Deity) is One Ilâh (Deity - i.e. Allah). So whoever hopes for the Meeting[10] with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord."

[10] (V.18:110) See the footnote of (V.6:31).

108. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "It is revealed to me that your Ilâh (Deity) is only one Ilâh (Deity - Allah). Will you then submit to His Will (become Muslims and stop worshipping others besides Allah)?"

34. And for every nation We have appointed religious ceremonies, that they may mention the Name of Allah over the beast of cattle that He has given them for food. And your Ilâh (Deity) is One Ilâh (Deity - Allah), so you must submit to Him Alone (in Islâm). And (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) give glad tidings to the Mukhbitûn (those who obey Allah with humility and are humble from among the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism),

6. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your Ilâh (Deity) is One Ilâh (Deity - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith - Islâmic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikûn (the polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah).
